Australia has compulsory voting. Sure there are lots of ill-informed people, but at least they are people who get to have their say.

Wait.. the ones with the most to lose from the development were students.. Did anyone check if the elections were during finals, or something else Students 'Needs-Must' attend to rather than the poling places?

Heaven forefend that actually would set the election during a convenient time for students to vote and actually swing the vote to the left.

Like good conservatives, of course they'd set it during spring break.
