Not part of the outline given me, but the scene doesn't seem out of character at least.
Jrakelt and Alathai standing back to back after a fight. He looks a little smugger in the original so the expressions aren't quite so out of tune with each other.
Upper righthand corner? Well the caramelldansen meme makes me giggle...yeah.

You're the artist. I don't mind random scene concepts in the least...
This would have to be sometime after the "One So Intentful" production. Despite coming into possession of the Florn breaking powers and collecting dozens of free Inaheii warriors/esses and slave Onirew to form his Death Tendrils band, he would maintain his bladept skills vigorously. Elaggorn might be his best sparring partner all around, but Alathai would probably be his Inaheii favorite and the best all around machetews bladept of the entire Death Tendrils band.
Jrakelt and Alathai may really enjoy sparring because they are fairly well matched. His machettews skills may be consistantly superior, but she is constantly surprising him with new combinations and tactics she develops based on her study of his tendancies, strengths and weaknesses. So she forces him to stay sharp and he keeps getting better too. Not to mention he may enjoy granting her special privaledges when she bests him. And she can really get into it because there is always a chance she can get the better of him and, depending on the nature of the privaledges he allows her when she does, she may have more than pride and silent boasting rights to encourage her to best him whenever she can.
And I am not entirely sure, but with Baan's death and assuming Alathai gets over her grief and opens her heart for another "solemate", she and Jrakelt may become joined. I can see Jrakelt going for her still in her grief with full intent to mate her and letting her know it, but if he doesn't mistreat, humiliate her or force himself upon her, she might appreciate it and come to have real feelings for him later on. Just because he is ambitious, vengeful, ruthless and generally cruel and overdominant, doesn't mean he lacks certain qualities to attract fema Inaheii. And if he chooses to be tender with his lovers and respect them, no particular reason a male Inaheii with his authority, powers and skills should not be dripping with willing femas if he chooses to be...even if they are all his captives and fearful of displeasing him. And even if Jrakelt does dominate Alathai at first and forces his intimacies upon her to begin with, if he is motivated to do so by more than shallow feelings of lust towards her, he might go about claiming/possessing her with tender expressions of such sincerely apologetic reverence that she might forgive him. No reason she should not seriously consider becoming Jrakelt's solemate: he is there and the master of her body, Baan is gone. And despite the cherished memories of the many loving gestures Baan had shown her and the occasional lustful touches and yearning embraces she had shared with him, night after night of tender comfort and favor with Jrakelt might woo her heart and mind as much as her sexually inexperienced body.

I meant fighting something else, not each other. Sparring makes sense also.
"Just because he is ambitious, vengeful, ruthless and generally cruel and overdominant, doesn't mean he lacks certain qualities to attract fema Inaheii."
Those *are* qualities that attract female Inaheii. Those are probably qualities that attract male Inaheii, though these days they try to prefer meeker, milder females.
Jrakelt is a skilled, powerful, attractive male. Alathai would probably find a great deal to admire about him. I don't see any reason why they shouldn't end up involved sexually or even romantically, depending on Jrakelt's ability to be smooth in addition to badass.
