I'm liking the anime so far too ^^
I also agree with what you said, it really explores some deep themes and it's good to know some animes still want to send a message.

Now I'm really worried about Yato 'cause... well, not gonna tell details here (don't wanna make spoilers to other readers :p )
The series got me stuck to the screen since the first episode, and so far, the serie is doing a great job at keeping a good pace in the plot (that's kinda rare to find nowadays too).
And god... episode 5 made me feel so sorry about Yukine.

Can't wait to see what happens next ^^

Yes! You're completely right. Animes nowadays have a terrible sense of pace. I used to watch anime all the time but now it's only one series occasionally, because most other ones rely on fanservice... which I hate. >n>

I know Yukine's gonna have some sort of past trauma, of which I know will rip out my heart when I watch it. ;n;

And btw, I hope his past trauma is something he can get over. We've already seen a glimpse of his memories, but not clear enough to understand what kind of life he had before (along with his bad experiences)

My guess is that it has something do with his father... Which is why they mentioned Yato being a father-like figure in the latest episode, and why Yukine reacted to what Hiyori said maybe?

Still, I hope for some drama, but not something Yukine can't get over. ;n;
