My dogs do the same thing plus they get into the trash.

Oh yeah, my cats will paw open the cabinet under the sink to get at the garbage pail. Especially if there are paper towels in there that we used to clean up previous cat barf. =___=

hehe Yeah, my big fat kitty can't jump up on anything except the bed or a chair. Until the other day she discovered that she could then jump from the stool in the kitchen onto the counter. My sister has discovered her twice on the absorbant dish draining mats that she just bought. >___>

One time, I had a plate of pancakes, syrup and this glob of butter in the corner of my plate that fell off my pancake. My runt tabby 6-Pac likes to supervise me while I eat. When I was finished he rushed over to the plate to try and steal anything leftover, sniffed around the entire plate and decided to eat the glob of butter. He made the most disgusted face I've ever seen a cat make. Hahaha.

Huh, maybe because they think it's moving or fresh? My cats will beg if you turn on the faucet or something and they love it if you dump out the water they have and put fresh stuff in, even if you filled it an hour beforehand.

Oh man... sometimes I sleep with yellow foam earplugs in when things are too noisy... and my big Russian Blue kitty always manages to steal one during the day even if I hide them. She will then drop it in the water dish. Even if the water was just put down fresh 5 minutes earlier... no one (not even her) will go near the water anymore. It is like they think it is poisoned. They'd rather drink out of the toilet or stagnant, gross kitchen sink water. XDDDDD

Sleeping and running around the house like a maniac at unearthly hours.

Sleeping is when she can't find food and unearthly hours is when she is looking for food.

I think butter actually helps with hairballs surprisingly enough. My dog had a sorta dry raspy throat thing going on once and a table spoon of butter solved matters. Although...I don't think most pets now which house hold food stuff can cure them...

... My cat likes to lick butter. So at home we now use soft butter in one of those buckets so it can just stay in the fridge and not have to worry about softening it by keeping it out. At my parent's house however they continue to get the stick kind and leave it out. I make sure it's covered if I bring my cat over there though. I don't want her eating butter. >; A ;<

Yeah, I always put it on top of the fridge now and she leaves it alone.
