I've ran into similar situations in online games, when I'm part of a newbie group and over half of them are " dying " to explore some place we're obviously not prepared for.

I'll say something like " yea if u go that way, u all gon die ". They'll laugh, call me chicken. And then I get to watch the boss monster they teased rip them into tiny giblets.
