Scottie got himself a new dream catcher to help him get a more restful night's sleep. Unfortunately, the dream catcher caught more than just dreams, and the poor usagisune would now find his sleep to be permanent.
I love the way this came out. Scottie looks so peaceful as he sleeps there in bed, and his soul looks awesome as it's being sucked out and drawn into the dream catcher. <3

It's actually more common of a fetish than you may think. (the concept of Soul Vore turned me on since about the time I hit puberty, and I thought I was the only one for years until relatively recently).
For me personally, I'm not sure there is a reason behind it, or if I could put it into words if there is, but I'll try.
I think I like it because of the intimacy. Two people can give their bodies over to each other as a casual thing that means nothing. They can give each other their hearts, and that's more intimate, but even that can be undone. I see the Soul as the ultimate level of intimacy because it is actually you. If you give your soul to someone, you're allowing them to do whatever they wish with everything that makes you you - it's the ultimate show of trust and submission.
More-or-less, anything to do with souls - giving them, stealing them, etc - is a metaphor for dominance and submission and trust and love, but on a much deeper level that goes beyond physical and emotional, to spiritual.
