I offered to paint something for a cook at work. He wanted a sunset with a lighthouse.

Bor-ing!

Hehe this is my lighthouse painting with an unexpected fantasy twist, up in the clouds, could it be heaven? That's up to the viewer to decide. There's actually some religious themes going on, but again in an unexpected way. I've decided to combine two different faiths I've come to know well. First one is a definate Christian theme with the lighthouse being a popular symbol for it, with even a storm cloud in the backgound reinforcing it's use. The trireme acts as extra content and a bit of a pagan symbol, since they exisited in ancient pagan cultures. This is also one the first paintings I've included a ghost orb... maybe further suggesting that this is some heaven-ish scene.
