There it was again, sprawling out before me... The empty wide expanse of nothing that looked oh so lovely, and yet... it was terrifying. Empty. It was just empty, and the more I gazed upon it, the more it felt as if it were going to swallow me whole.. It sent a shiver down my spine and I felt my ears fold back as I drew in a breath. I was so worn, but I knew I had to keep going, stepping forward to keep moving.. Yet one day I feared, knew, and dreaded, that it would indeed swallow me and I would be lost within its vast emptiness, devoured by that lonely feeling and not seeing a single soul for miles and miles...

I drew in a breath and made my self take a step only to pause when I felt something take my hand.. It was warm, and fingers curled around my own. I looked back in surprise, gazing upon the smiling face.

"You aren't alone.." He said, making my ears perk. "Im here, we can walk side by side, and there isn't anything that can drive me away. So just remember, you aren't ever alone.."

Getting over the surprise, I smile back at him and turn again to that empty expanse.. It didnt really seem so daunting now...A tribute to my best friend, Jayzen. He is the perfect person to be my friend.. or anyone with issues like mine.. He is tolerant, patient and caring.. and there aren't enough people like him. Im lucky to have him as my best friend.
