Why are your horses so skinny?

According to the vet they aren't except one mare is nursing and the other one is old in both situations its hard to keep weight on despite the supplements. Hopefully the hay crop will be better this year too which makes things easier

*nods* Yeah 'cuz it kinda scared me when I saw two very skinny lookin' horses there. But then again, I know you love your equine charges deeply, and I figure if you love another being that much, you're not going to let them starve. :D

usually its the opposite. I have to drylot them because they get too fat. The vet sees the old mare on a regular basis as does the farrier. They all just got wormed and I still have not been forgiven for that and worse comes booster shots in the next month or so.

So far its been wet this spring so we should have a good hay crop. Last year between a spring freeze and drought I was litarly driving across the state for hay. And the feed bills. Thanks the the farce that is ethenol are going up steady.

man...i wish i knew you was having hay problems..i had some of my own...i couldnt get rid of it! I had 20 straight acres of unneeded hay. i was trying to find someone to just get it so it didnt go to waste.
