Meier's a bit more of a handful to write and draw since he's a bit more experienced and, thus, more nuanced in his emoting than his younger counterparts. So, I end up drawing him a LOT more than just what we see on the pages. Some notes on what all this is, left to right, top to bottom:
1: An old inked practice of Meier from when I was still settling on his design, this is how he ended up looking (I went through a lot of different looks for the guy).
2. A layout sketch for a possible promo poster or issue 4 cover. It was one of those ideas that wouldn't leave my head till I had it jotted down.
3. Some story notes and accompanying sketches about Meier at a younger age, I've blacked out potential spoilers and just left the sketches as I think they're more interesting.
4. A long time ago in high school I read "Death of a Salesman" and the cover illustration always stuck with me and I redrew the pose with the CEO of Dyklon Industries just to see how it would look.
5. I can't do a whole page of Meier's and NOT draw some swords, it just wouldn't be right.

Hmm... let's address each one in order.
1) Nothing much else to say on this one other than that THAT is a power suit worthy of Lex Luther. No wonder Leon is worried.
2) Two questions come to mind from that trial cover. One: is that water, blood, or sand his hands. Two: early tease of a fourth character; definitely looks masculine, but doesn't resemble Meier enough for me to peg him unsupported as the man's son.
3) Wow... Meier was once as scattered drama prone as Leon was in his youth. Maybe the reason he wants to recruit him is to mold/break him into an "ideal" executive.
4) If you didn't mention this was a redraw of "Death of a Salesman" I'm honestly not sure what I would have thought of this picture. Maybe he just traveled to a parallel dimension and found out Simon is the president of the United States.
5) This makes me very glad Meier is into swords... could you imagine what would happen if he was into chainsaws? But seriously, Meier must have had dealings with the Japanese Mafia... lots of dealings. I almost wouldn't be surprised if Leon turned around one day and found ninjas just chilling by the water cooler.
