I was inspired by this picture. As I looked at it, I realized that "murry-purry fur pile" scans to "Holly Jolly Christmas." Of course, one thing otters are notoriously bad at is resisting temptation...
This is just a silly song. You can sing it at Christmas or a furry convention or whatever makes sense to you. (Just don't try using ot to make money without royalties... AS IF!) ;-P

What I hear is that furpiles take up a fair bit of space and make it harder to get through. Hotels don't much appreciate that. Also, I believe that some other hotel guests find furpiles disturbing; we understand what's going on, but they don't and so they object to such displays. Again, hotels don't appreciate us disturbing their other guests. We want hotels to like us and want us back so that we don't have to keep changing hotels every year. It's really better to keep furpiles to the convention space, where we only effect each other. That's what I'm told anyway.
Yeah, but not everyone takes that into consideration before jumping into a fur-fest. Especially in the excitement of the crowd and where there are no clear boundaries for the con space, and what is considered unacceptable behavior in certain areas (like lobbies and hallways) but not others. People either don't understand or don't care and do it anyway.
I was just joking about wanting in on that lobby furpile action. Although if it was somewhere more appropriate count me in! A fursuit feels like a warm fuzzy blanket all over. Just try to fight the urge to snuggle.
