Holy symbol of Yorcegh, god of Travel and Music, brother of Ufrea
Yorcegh:
Ufrea’s twin brother, the more humanized of the two, is a consummate lover of life. His pleasures include wine, women, and song--quite often simultaneously. He’s a protector of travelers and the watcher of roads. His priests are bartenders and his church doors crowned with horseshoes; his priestesses stuffed in corsets and his collection plates brimming with foam. Each time an instrument’s string is plucked, it’s an ode to Yorcegh. Each time air passes through a horn or pipe, squealing out a note, it’s a hymn in his name. And every time lovers scream into the night, everyone knows exactly who they’re praying to. As widespread the love-fear Quench inspires across Olgantha is, Yorcegh is lived by the people of not only Olgantha, but the world over.
Many to most of Yorcegh's children as they call themselves are polyamorous. Oftentimes couples, trios, quartets, quintets, etc. form musical bands, acting troupes, and other sorts of artistic communities (even brothels) and may readily invite travelers that take their fancy for a romp, inviting those that show promise in their particular specialties into their "polyglot" or "lexicon" as they are sometimes referred to--after a period of apprenticeship, of course.
Those truly devoted to Yorcegh know these three tenets by heart:
Make art in all you do, be it the art of war, composition, or lovemaking.
Music is the food of gods and the gift of all mankind. Spread it whenever possible.
Hate not your enemy; make friend of all you meet, especially those least desirable.
Yorcegh is a god of passion, most especially those of the body. He embodies lust, this is true, but uncontrolled lust can cause loss of motivation, sensibility and focus. For those following Yorcegh, the art of seduction is par for the course. But take heed: there are many, many means and reasons to die--some more preferable than others.
Yorcegh is called “The Trickster” in orcish society, a god whose stories are largely cautionary tales, who created the elves to punish the orcs for their vainglory and ravished his sister, birthing a child wielding great power, but lame in the mind, and with it, bringing the scourge of magic into the world.
