Holy symbol of Ufrea, goddess of Nature and Purity, sister of Yorcegh
Ufrea:
The goddess of the wilds and twin sister of Yorcegh is a far cry from his personable nature. She is stoic, stern and harsh, yet generous, inspiring and beautiful. She is the pure embodiment of nature. When she has appeared before mortal eyes, more often than not, no two individuals can describe her the same, such that she is. For as afeared as she is for her awful power, so too is she basked in for her glorious splendor. As many objects can represent her and her followers--and indeed many do--the longbow for its strength and esthetic and the gingko tree for its resilience are the most common. The sight of a bronzed, silvered, gilded or even simply magically fortified gingko leaf around a traveler’s neck is highly respected everywhere in Olgantha.
Sex in the view of Ufrea is for reproduction only. However, mortals will do as they wish, that she is aware and she can only pity them for they know not what time they waste, for their lives are short and painful. Let them entertain themselves with their dalliances, but even her most strict matrons aren't above her scrutiny. Her nature is inscrutable and position on such purple excesses involved with the ever present march of progress, something she is exceedingly slow to accept.
Her commandments are as follows:
Live in harmony with nature; do not disdain or destroy that which is wild or savage, for it is a part of me.
Protect the wild places of the world from civilization’s encroachment. You came of this once, do not forget.
Remove those things created by foul magics for they are an abomination to me.
Taken to an extreme, Ufrea’s demands may lead to apathy towards others, especially if your allies do not agree with her philosophy. Though she is at times aloof, it must be remembered that mortals are pack animals that exist best when cooperative with each other. Do not fall into the trap of isolation as unforgiving as the world might be. If you disagree with your allies’ motivations, tell them so, discuss and debate as needed as her brother Yorcegh would suggest, a sentiment she would agree with--begrudgingly.
“The Forest Queen” is a beloved orcish goddess for she adores the orcish race of all her creations and wishes nothing more than the destruction of her brother’s rakish creations, that is, the elves.
