Grenade, fragmentation:
Fragmentation (or “frag”) grenades are metal, egg-shaped--sometimes referred to as “pineapples”--antipersonnel weapons with a pin at the top to be pulled to trigger its fuse. Because of the slight delay, grenades detonate at the end of the round. Frag grenades can be “cooked” for one round before thrown, cutting their range in half but detonating at the end of the attack instead of at the end of the round. Because of their shape, frag grenades can be bounced against walls or rolled through apertures. Frag grenades deal slashing damage.
There are a variety of frag grenades including those with attached sticks to increase throwing distance (as seen above) and elemental types such as hydrochloric, incendiary, cryogenic, and pulse.
