Epic scene Reilly imagined; me surveying the valley below from atop a cliff, feeling the wind in my hair and lifting my wings before I take that familiar dive. And just before taking flight, I look back and smile, reassuring that I'll soon return.
Even though it's just a work in progress, I really love how scratchy and raw this came out, almost as if a dragon had drawn it ;)

I have something similar, but you're right, I think I might have to go take a picture like that :)

I know you have a few, which is why I made the comment. :) I'd go a different direction though... possibly something from the front just as your hands slam into the rail and your legs extend into leap, and the landscape ahead changing from city to mountain, capturing that surge... Xx; I suppose I'm yapping because I'm struggling with actually arting. XD
I know. I'm trying to put it all in context. The idea is not to have mountains in Kansas, the idea is that you have this city backdrop and as you leap you "emerge", part of your Dragon self is overlapping your human self, maybe with some transparency, and the landscape "towards" which you're leaping also changes, from city to mountains, and THAT is not supposed to represent a particular place in Kansas. I don't know, maybe a landscape you're drawn to? I picked the mountain example cause "it fit". XD
Very much a representation of parkour as being your outlet of Draconity by surprising a moment when the feeling it generates peaks and you're closest to the furfilled dream. It's actually one of several ideas I've had of portraying the many ways Otherkin find comfort in what may appear as simple activities.
Another example would be a similar picture with someone at a renaissance faire, or a movie like DragonHeart - worldly activities that we engage in for completely different reasons than those around. I've actually seen two such pictures about arting, where the artist feels their Dragon self during drawing. With so many other activities that are just as good outlets, your parkour is something I haven't seen done before and sparked up the idea. :)

Haha, you hit that nail on the head! One of the main reasons I practice parkour is for a sort of outlet for my draconity, I can express myself in that way. It's about the closest feeling I can get to flying again without wings ^.=.^
I really like your idea, I think I'll have to work something up like that :)
