I keep putting off getting one... by telling myself I hate drawing on the PC XD But I think in a month or so I'm going to have to get one.

It's a 21UX actually (model numbers are confusing). It is pretty big, I was thinking I would be able to use it in my lap like I have done with my Tablet PC's before, but it's a bit too big for that. Luckily for me it swivels.

There is nothing wrong with the 12 in my mind. I'd actually been considering buying one of those until the money for this one just happened to come into my hands (even if it wasn't much of an upgrade beyond what I was already using).

It's a case of spending almost double the cost of the 12 on the 21 for me... that would take a few months to save for

Additionally though, I can justify buying the 12, but the 21 is a bit overkill for me, or at least it is at the moment. I'm still trying to discover my style properly and build up more experience and knowledge of basic shape and colouring etc... who knows, I might get into a position one day where I can just do a run of commissions and afford an upgrade that way XD

how's Sketchbook? i've never messed around with it at all.

I love it. I wish Alias would'nt have stopped developing on it. It's made Photoshop and OpenCanvas downright painful for me to draw with by comparison.

Can't really color in it though, so I guess Photoshop is still good for something.

why are all the good programs no longer in development, or really stupidly frustrating to use? D: i used Sai for a while but i got fed up with having to crack the translated version, and all the nonsense that went with it.

oh well, back to opencanvas ;~;

Yet it is the smallest monitor on my desk out of 3 (just the largest I can actually draw on).

21", and yes, it is AWESOME.

The other monitors on my desk (just regular flat panels) are 24" and 37" widescreens.

$2500 US dollar monies (they just had a $500 rebate on that model when I bought it though, but I still had to shell out that amount).
