Here is the completion of a task I undertook to show respect and honor towards a fellow EMT who lost his life in the line of duty 1 year ago today. I chose these colors to make a symbol that I were on my shoulder that he to whore upon his.
The star of of life consists of 6 points that signify the chain of events that occur from the time a person is seen to be injured Detection, to when emergency services are notified Reporting, from the time its reported to the time a Response can be sent out, from the On Scene Care that treats the patient at the scene of the incident to stabilize them, after the patient is loaded the Care in Transit takes place to continue patient care to a hospital facility, and finally at the hospital the patient is Transferred to Definitive Care.

These are things we are trained and drilled on to ensure the best care is given to our patients. There are many of us who do this job and will will never know each and every one, but that does not make us any less of a family. I never meet the man who dies in the field but that doesn't diminish the feeling of a loss to our family.
On Feb 16th 2013 EMT Timothy McCormick (EMT-P posthumously) Also known by the fandom as Lemonade Coyote was killed by the leading cause of death to EMS.
Here I have assembled with the seamstress help of
who sewed the fabric together for me 216 pink and yellow stars of life that I wish to hand out to any and all who want one at TFF or anyone who wants one saved for them to be mailed at no cost.
The ironic thing is that I did not set a number to make, I just kept cutting till I ran out of material and ended up with 216...2-16...Feb 16.
I do this not for attention nor do I ask for it, I do this because I wanted to show my gratitude towards a brother whose echoes will be long felt from every person he touched, be it patient, friend, or fur.
*If anyone wants one just let me know or look for me at TFF*
