Woe is a-me-bop.
I've recorded a few covers in this style, but this is the first that's come out well. Divine Comedy songs sit nicely in my vocal range; Emily Haines and Shed Seven don't really.
How do you think it works? Any requests?
This is all me, by the way: George Silverman's a pseudonym I'm toying with (brownie points if you know where it's from).

The music, if you worked on it, is INCREDIBLE.
Your singing is incredibly stiff and lifeless though. Your on key but you have no color or energy. Relax! Let yourself go! Make mistakes! Pitch perfect and completely controlled is for, like, Brett Manning students, which is an incredibly narrow point of view. (Which, if you really want that, Brett Manning's "Singing Success" is a great downl- uhh, purchase.)

The music's all me, I'm happy to say.
Valid criticisms. I'm very self-conscious enough about my singing, and I really only do it to empty rooms. I guess that, together with opting comfortably for a baritone rather than a tenor, is pretty deadly to expressiveness. (I'd been thinking of doing a Magnetic Fields cover next, too... perhaps I should try something a little livelier.)
