I hope to have a macaw in the near future. I have never owned a bird, but have been considering this since late last year.

Where did you rescue this beaut from?

His previous owner used to own a bar about an hour and a half away. Oddly enough my dads band happened to play at the venue once or twice. We were notified that the lady had passed away from lukemia and I guess the place shut down and he was left/abandoned in there and completely forgotten about. A friend of mine got out there a few days later and brought him back to the place where I work and my mother and I took him in. I think it was a good few days before anyone realized he was there without fresh food and water. =/ I'm so glad to have him

Aww poor little dude. I'm glad he was alright when your friend found him though. :) I'm glad you took him in, too. You both look crazy happy. That story is also quite touching. <3
