Scrap shows the three stages of creating a single piece.
1. Pencilwork
2. Inking & Adding solid color on separate layers (plus optional texturing)
3. Shading

I do the initial pencilwork in Painter Classic using an old Wacom Graphire3.
All subsequent inking, coloring, and shading is done in Paint Shop Pro 5 with both a regular mouse and the tablet.
Inking is definitely the most tedious and uncreative part of the process. It doesn't take terribly long, it's just boring and anal-retentive work I force myself to do because I love having super clean lines on the finished image.
