Mardi Gras! **AUCTION!** (Ended)
drake_ukkonen is the new owner of this tail! : DHey guys! Well, it's been over a month since I've taken any commissions, and I still don't have plans to reopen for customs any time soon, but for a long time I've been wanting to make a Mardi Gras tail--so I finally did! And I LOVE it! Like, I made it to sell but it was definitely one where I'm sort of having to force myself to stick to that commitment now XD So I'm really hoping this tail will end up going to someone who will adore it as much as I do!
Mardi Gras this year begins on Tuesday, March 4--so you should have the tail in plenty of time to celebrate! This tail features the traditional Mardi Gras colors of yellow, green, and purple, which signify power, faith, and justice, respectively.
This tail also features two feathers and a strand of green Mardi Gras beads for decoration : ) It will also come with a green carabiner, because that's my preferred wear method, and a brush for care! THE TAIL IS APPROXIMATELY 17.5 inches in length, NORMAL WIDE.
The starting price for this tail is $30. This includes shipping within the US. Minimum bid increment is $1, and the auction will end on Saturday, February 15th, at 10pm Central Time. Payment will be required within 24 hours of the auction's end--so by 10pm Central Time on Sunday, via Paypal. This should give the tail plenty of time to make it to you in time for Mardi Gras!
Standard auction rules apply:
-Please reply to the person that you have outbid
-Please only bid if you are serious about buying and can pay by the deadline
Am I missing anything? This is my first FA auction XP

The length shots were taken at night, so the colors aren't as true. It also looks way better in person, imo:

Well, they're just fun! I've literally been wanting to make a Mardi Gras tail for probably two years, but like, it has to be made during the right time (now-ish) to really make sense celebration-wise, and with commissions and all, it was always hard for me to take time out for premades/just stuff that I wanted to make. I've never really celebrated Mardi Gras itself--I've been to New Orleans a couple of times, but not during the event. (I did go once very shortly afterward, though--there were still a decent amount of beads stuck to terraces and tree branches and whatnot, haha!) But I do often make king cake for Fat Tuesday!
Bir and I work differently, too, even though we use the same method, so it'll be interesting to see how similar/different you find this one to be to the one you got from her. But yeah, that kind of illustrates your point--I learned straight from Bir and still, experience and practice lead one on their own path!
This one shouldn't have bothered the cat, since I haven't got any pets, but good to know it won't be a problem for sure! ^^
