Working on two pictures at the moment, this one being the easier one so decided to go ahead with it. Simple picture with simple concept and obnoxious levels of pink.
Little back stories that always go with the images. I've had my girl Vita Sanguinence (Life of Blood) for a 11 years now. She's my official Shadow Mew who I generally cluster with my other Fakemon Mewthrees, mostly since she's not a Mew or a Mewtwo or a Mewthree, but need to put her somewhere. I affectionately shorten her name down to Vita mostly since it's easier, but also it's nicer to say. Still like to dote on her all these years later. That is the character side, now the whole PS Vita thing comes from my work.
I personally do not own any handheld video game consoles, and frankly never will. Detest them all, from the original Gameboy to the WiiU and Sony's cluster of wannabe Nintendos. What I do as part of my current work is basically a Quality Analyst role at Electronic Arts of Canada (or affectionately/bitterly referred to as the official EA Sports). I'm not sure how I got this blasted thing, but I am basically considered the peripheral person, so I'm handed Xbox One Kinects, and the PlayStation Move and then these horrible, horribly evil PlayStation development Vita's just so I can do the Remote Play feature (literally, what WiiU is except with a PS4 and a PS Vita). I'm sure commercially these work great; however, you try running through the largest game studio in the world, trying to get a wireless network this thing will jump onto, just so you can create a PSN account that pairs with one particular PS4. Then you learn to really, really dislike them. To say the least, I have a terribly odd love-hate relationship with both this handheld console and the Kinect in particular, yet no one argues with how comfortable and knowledgeable I am with either. One of the lone "Vita Testers". That's how the full image came about. I think the only reason my console hasn't been destroyed by me yet is because everytime I call it "Vita" I think of my beautiful girl, and it makes me hate it that little bit less.
Anyway, photo manipulated the heck out of the official image of the console. Went for pink since it made for color balance, but unfortunately the actual pink Vitas come in bubblegum pink, a noxious color. Lines were used in the back for the full character image and on the PS Vita as a type of skin. Shading was basic otherwise.
