This is a wrap-around cover for a novel about The Chosen People. I forget who it's by -- the story I was given to do the cover by didn't have his name on it. The book is available now, from Sofa Wolf (I think -- I'm rubbish at remembering these things!)

I think in the story the kids were very frightened by the fire, and the driver's door was jammed when the tree fell. Besides, once they left the bus, they would still be in a burning forest. As it is, one of the kids opens the back exit and flees -- the sheriff has to rescue him from the fire...

I'm lucky if I can remember my own name these days, people! And I don't think I was ever told the book title (not you guys' fault; I often just get the info I need to do the piece and no more) -- PLUS that's the first time I've actually seen the cover layout.

....I just realized it was a burning forest in the background. For some reason I thought they crashed into a large burning log house with the roof collapsing on top of the bus. Xd
