Some years ago, just for the heck of it, I put together a collage of photos to create a photo-realistic version of some of the crew from the TALES OF THE TAI-PAN UNIVERSE fanzine. Although the collage looked pretty cool, it wouldn't reproduce very well because of all of the different dpi involved in each clipped image. So I used it as a model for this pencil portrait... which is one of the largest pencil pieces I think I've ever done.

There was some scanning irregularities here, and there's a pencil smudge I'm going to have to clean up...
