Yeah, seriously.. I've been using it a few years, and I tell everyone it's exactly like making construction paper art. So I know you have enough of a clue to take advantage of it.
Bewarned, it has a really steep learning curve. I suggest watching the little tutorial videos that come with. (You can dl a 30 trial of the full thing on adobe.com, I believe) If you need any help, let me know.. I am glad to convert folks over to Illustrator. Muahaha. Also, if you learn Illustrator, you can BREEZE through Flash. Since it's both vector graphics, you'll know how it works.. and Illustrator can export to Flash... So it's almost like a bonus. (I do my animations in Illustrator)
