Today the Greater Alecia, a colonial mega vessel, experienced a malfunction in 3 of her sub-light engines.
Unable to alter her course the was puled into the gravitational field of a nearby planet, and spiraled down into the atmosphere.
The evacuation order was thankfully given with enough time to launch most of the escape ships, and the deceleration engines bought some time, although some were destroyed before and after takeoff.
