So. I am working on designing a creature for a fantasy world of mine and I want them to have horns so I thought I'd look to nature for some horn advice.
Turns out there's quite a bit of variety XD Anyway, I made a horn montage for my own personal reference and thought I'd upload it on the off chance anybody else wanted some horn reference.
ALSO just now realized that i apparently can't count to 24 because i missed number 21.......yep, way to go college grad >.>

nice variables... although I don't know if ya can count 13 though since those look more like antlers.. I know it's another one'a those annoyin' minor distictions some people'll bug ya about but the basic one is that horns are singular an antlers are multi-pronged... but hey I've always been of a mind ta say f'it an go with whatever ya think looks best at the time yer drawin' it!... sure it'll change with whatever mood yer in while yer drawin' it but that's part'a the fun of art an fantasies... it's doesn't HAVE ta be consistent until YOU have settled on how ya want it ta look!
*hugsya* :)

Hahaha when I was posting this I was thinking about pointing out that one of them was antlers but didn't XD I knew someone would catch it.
When I was making the montage I drew a bunch of horns and drew one antler just to see how it looked in comparison but only one.

As for #8, don't blame me, blame nature XD SHEEP
And as for #24. This one was based off nature but is the only horn that didn't come off a mammal, a hooved mammal to be more precise. I noticed that the rhino was the only mammal I could find with singular horn. Everything else has a symmetrical pair.
HOWEVER, I did find THIS awesome little guy and wanted to see what a mammal head looked like with a singular horn. Surprisingly, #24 is my fav image of the bunch.
