This is at a local big cat sanctuary in Missouri, way, way back in the good old year of 2002. I think he liked me, or he just liked the camera...or wanted to face-rub the fence spontaneously.

Yes, very...the same facility also housed a couple 900+ lb lions, tigers, cheetahs and leopards. :D In addition to wolves, a bear, foxes...it was a diverse place, but unfortunately, due to pressure from PETA, has since been shut down, the animals relocated to zoos and other care facilities (for those that needed special care).
PETA wasn't wholly unjustified in their complaints, though these animals were rescued from illegal owners (Daddy, I want a BABY TIGER for Christmas!) and were living in much, much better conditions than what they were rescued from. The cages were still too small, and neighbors were worried about the chain-link's strength should one of the big cats decide they didn't want to be imprisoned any longer.
