if its a bowl, its to small
bettas need at least 2.5gal, and bowls are never more than 1
i recommend 5 or 10gal, because they also need a heater, filter and lots of SILK plants(fake) or live plants to hid in
that bowl needs FULL water changes every 2-3 days and that could stress him out big time
