Just a small portrait of Zhu, and a watercolor practice. I have to remind myself to use ink when lining watercolor stuff. Lines look awful in pencil...

hands... Those little bastards are hard... I still have problems with them XD
Can't teach what I don't know how I learnt. I guess it all goes down to a lot of practice, constructing with cilinders and that stuff (I don't do that too often and I really should) and a lot of life drawing or seeing as an artist.
Seeing as an artist means not only seeing but analizing everything as a model to draw. For example, yesterday I was speaking to my boyfriend, and while focused in the conversation I started paying attention to how the light reflected in his eyes. It's hard to turn off though, and can get you in trouble when you start looking at random people in the streets.
One thing I know for sure I did was looking at my hands a lot of time. I would be talking with my son and at the same time looking at my hand while I opened and closed it.
"The perfect bait" by bobby chiu explains this perfectly, I have the audiobook (got it one day it was free) and it has helped me a lot.
I hope you don't get bored with all the explanation ^w^
