I spent two and a half years searching out all the Robotech novels by Jack McKinney, and read them several times through.
When I was 11 or 12 (I forget the year) I purchased as my first RPG book (First by MANY years, I didn't end up buying my second until I was 17) the Palladium Robotech RPG, the first core book.
I was, ah, more than a little thrilled. =D
