You should add "helmet" to the keywords. This is one of the best helmet designs I've seen for a character with a muzzle.
Most 'furry' characters are shown with open faced helmets that don't protect the muzzle at all, and many of the full helmet designs I've seen look like they'd need to be bolted on and don't allow the wearer to open their mouth much. Since a character with fur probably doesn't sweat and needs to pant to cool themselves, cooling when doing strenuous exercise is a major issue for being able to fight in armor. The muzzle area for this helmet is large enough for the wearer to open their muzzle to pant and it has nice ventilation holes.
The wearer would need to fold their ears flat since the helmet does not have slits to expose the ears, which is very practical for real protection. One possible variation would be to include some small holes where the base of the ears are to improve hearing when wearing the helmet.

This is SUCH an old picture, Im really surprised you commented on it. xD I would kick myself for drawing a helmet design like this today. It has alot of subtle issues that would really matter in real combat, just for example the visibility of the wearer. A great Furry helmet design that would work well with those issues would be like these from the 30 years war: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.co.....a456b4fbc2.jpg
The helmet may have some subtle issues but the basic idea for how to protect the muzzle seems to work. I did notice you drew another very nice version of a Knights Hospitaller http://www.furaffinity.net/full/14725085/ (Parched Body, Staunch Soul) who has a similar helmet that is designed to provide the wearer better vision but I commented on this version because I liked that the surfaces were better rounded to deflect blows.
