This artwork is based in one of the most early rememberings of my life.
I remember that I was at the Congonhas airport in 1979, I was 4 years old. At that season, many people liked to go there to just see the planes, but I were there really to travel! - unhappily a something rare event in my life :(
And a billboard at the airport pulled my attention: an ad of Japanese corporation Sanyo on which two kids, masterfully drawn in Manga style, held a bouquet of roses in the foreground, in perspective. I found that amazing, and only I remembered years after that I realized that was in manga style, at that time not so loved in Brazil than today. Almost no one remembers this - and maybe few remember Sanyo, recently incorporated by Panasonic. I do not, because Sanyo were the brand of the first TV set I watched in my life.
So, in 2013, I decied to parody that with my twin characters, Ralph (or Ralfe? That Disney movie like spoiled the name of this character) and Sarah. OK, weasels don't got these colors (neither more 243958 things seen above), but most of my characters are in two shades of orange.
