OK I wasn't even planning on another auction so soon, but I just found this unfinished lineart in my files and decided to finish it up! Sorry if the quality isn't up to par with what I do now, I did this sometime last year.

I've looked at both and although they have some similarities in colour palette, they're far from being the same character. Once someone drew a picture with EXACTLY the same pose as something I'd drawn, and they were posted within minutes of each other, so it was impossible that either of us copied each other, yet it still happened. Coincidences can happen, and you shouldn't automatically jump to the conclusion that someone is stealing your ideas, especially if they're capable of coming up with their own stuff. Take the time to look at the two characters side by side, they're really not that similar. Yes they use similar colour palettes, and some of the markings have similar placement, but the markings themselves are not the same. It's like saying any anime character with huge spiky hair looks like Cloud or Goku, it's just a common trope in that media.

It could be a complete, without a doubt coincidence! However the worry is still justifiable.
Long ears, fluffy tail, monochrome + purple/blue colors. The hair and legs even fade from one color to the other, in reverse, while on the tail it fades from the darker purpleblue to white. The patterns are similar, diamonds on the arms and black sleeves, then the white markings on the hips and legs. Of course they're not exact! Not saying that at all! But it's so close several people have been saying the same thing. The only reason Raptor found out about this is because she got a few notes + the message here.
so when you have multiple people all agreeing on the same thing, it's not just the artist leaping to this conclusion. However I think?? The artists are talking this out over notes :0

No it's fine, I just wanted to make the point that while there are similarities, it doesn't necessarily mean anyone copied anyone else. I still personally do not think the characters look the same. The hair style is different, the ears have blue inside them, the tail is a different type, she has a mane/chest fluff, her feet/legs are different (both in type and markings/colour). Both characters are selling, and both artists are capable of coming up with their own ideas, so I don't think anyone stole anything from anyone.
