If you're talking about the multiple submission thingy, this is the last one as of late that I've rendered. I've still got to render the other 5 of my orbs, hehe. Takes me forever to render... I do it at 8000 Quality, 1280 lengthwise size, and an oversample of 4... o.0 That's about an hour and a half to two hours of waiting per picture xD

That would be a wonderful piece of jewelry. Tiffany would be green with envy...

Hehe, it would look really nice if you could conform it into a 3D piece of jewelry and still somehow keep the symmetry. :)

EDM (electrodischarge machining) removes metal by tiny but powerful electrical sparks, and can create details down to less than a thousandth of an inch. That would be followed by electropolishing which would smooth the piece to microinches. I'd love to see an Apophysis artist and someone who owns a wire type EDM machine get together to make unique 21st century jewelry. Pretty stones such as synthetic star sapphires are very cheap - about $10 each. Someday an aerospace machine shop owner is going to get together with someone like you and create fantastically original jewelry.

Oh wow, that's pretty neat, heh. Maybe I'm not quite getting this, but I don't see how a flat image of sorts would contour to a rough edge of a jewel. I mean, in that 3D type of sense, wouldn't the shading give it a weird look to it? I could see if you edited the image a bit, now that I think of it, but I don't think you could just strip it right off, hehe.
