That's my submission for the lil' contest to integrate Solaris Notre Unversity
Leo is the fourth kid of a noble family, and like his brothers before him, he goes to Solaris Notre University. Leo is constantly in need for recognition from the others and despite his good marks in class, once a day, he goes to a secret blind spot, to violate the rules by smoking a cigarette. On this very spot, he meets one day Jack, another student, staying in the shadow, not saying anything. He was indeed, not very talkative, but after a few days spent each of them at the end of their sides of the bench, Leo proposed him a cigarette, and they started to talk. They began to be friends, helping each other through the Terranel house, with this one tradition to every day, at the same hour, go back to this blind spot to talk around a cigarette.
And among all the subjects they could talk of, Leo loved to talk about his family. Strangely, Jack was always staying quiet on this matter, but still very attentive, while Leo conversed about the glory of his brothers and father.
But every time, he was finishing his stories by holding his medal, saying: “I’ll be like them one day, Jack, you’ll see!”
