So, what are your thoughts on the Sci-Fi Channel's version of Dune?
Here's what I liked:
--good work for a low budget
--great casting
--I'm amazed how a guy with an American accent can play a true aristocrat
--very timely story re: some country in a desert with a big capital city with a heavily guarded fortress in the middle of it occupied by a foreign army. I'm not saying who (o_O);;;;;
--very nice homage to the 1984 production, to Mr. De Laurentis and Mr. Eno

I heard about it several years ago but finally found it at a used video place. I watched it the night before I drove to Oklahoma to see the granite hills...
