Here's the introduction to the next series of stories I'm going to be working on. the main character is a little mousie by the name of Danial Tchiddik. He's the butler of the History Department in the great Templeton library in my fantasy world setting. This intro is just a little ditty that gives the audience a taste for the setting and a little bit of background about the library itself, where this chapter takes place. I intend to write each chapter of Tchiddiks' Tale as an individual short story, and then eventually compile them all together into a single work. I currently have chapters 1-3 drafted and am working on the initial rework of ch1.

The chapters are not written in the same style as the intro. The intro is something of just a summary storyteller-style bit. the stories themselves are much more real-time.
