One of my favorite songs from the game "Sonic The Hedgehog 2006", Bentley Jones' "Dreams of an Absolution (Silver's Theme)".

For me, songs are liquid and can inspire just about everything. I put the onus of this song entirely on the girl here, my lovely Coline's shoulders. Think she's one of my few characters that while I might associate songs to her mental state, I don't really have a song that is wholly her own. Final Fantasy X-2's "Thousand Words" or Edvika's "Sometimes" for its shear mindlessness except one was used to inspire only one situation, and the other is so horribly blonde that it's stupidly suitable even if the lyrics are plainly wrong. She is so insidiously pop culture in terms of music preference that if I found a song for her it's because I made a mistake of listening to whatever junk comes off of the Disney Channel. Looks like Barbie, dresses like a young Britney Spears. Yep, Coline for you.

In any case, one of the more ongoing themes between the short story of Iustitia and the last novel for Mewblade was that Iustitia/Justice endeavored to try and save Mewblade from a predictable death. She left a time capsule for Mewblade's Chosen, Coline to find later. Unfortunately Coline never managed to use the message effectively enough to save her Legendary. Outside of the worry of losing someone she deeply loved, Coline overall tried to best maintain Mewblade's mental health through trying times. This picture is the ending Coline dreamed of, and I never gave her, or in other words, this was one of the novel's endings that did not happen. Sometimes I like to daydream too, and think of the moment Mewblade comes back, surprising Coline and making her jump into the arms of the individual she loves. The tearful moment that I couldn't commit to and makes me both smile about fondly, and hate myself for not daring to write it in. I never truly gave a proper ending, since one of the reasons I never did was this ending was what I really wanted. By not committing to any clear ending, this can be the ending also in a sense. So I'm going to let myself dream with Coline.

Photoshop image with glaring colors. Res is terrible, and I really didn't want to do the grass and never managed to make this look like obviously glaring sunlight, despite I tried. I soft shadow, and I know it and it does not work here. Proportions are off since I tried for a lower horizon, even though it's not obvious since the alpine slope behind warps that idea completely. Coline is the image hog with the trench, but the one thing I wanted from her was that jump, grab and swing motion and of all the things I really wanted in this image, that was what I got. Mewblade looks far less involved, but if you ever watch a standard couple dancing, the guy (or Mewblade, who is acting as the guy) tends to be a pivot point, and thus stiffer, so I'm not going to entirely complain with that either. In the end, this is my romantic Valentine's Day picture of sort with my favorite pair of lovers amongst my sets.
