Silvhi's world had been ripped to pieces around her. From where she lay she could see the sky, clouds angry and sickly purple pushed by a wind almost too hot to breathe. Thunder rumbled like an angry god waking, she could feel it through the ground. Bits of wall tumbled to the ground, her home had been crushed around her. On the edges of her vision, she could see part of the roof that had fallen on her. But she could not feel it.
"Silvhi?" A small voice screamed nearby. There was a scramble of movement, small stones scattering, and then she was looking up into a single wide, worried eye.
"Shh... it's okay 'Buki." She tried to reach up, touch his cheek, but found she lacked the strength for even that small gesture. Bloody tears began to fill her eyes, and she felt her head being carefully moved into Cocobuki's lap.
"Buki? I... I cant' see. What's going on?" Small fingers brushed at her cheeks, trying to clear her eyes.
"Something bad has happened." Cocobuki said in a trembling voice. "I think it was a dragon..." A blue flash of light cut through the blur, chasing away the hot and angry wind. "There, on the horizon. They've caught it, they've stopped it!"
Miasma ate at what was left of her vision, carrying her into a soft and forgiving darkness, Cocobuki's voice followed her.
"I love you, Silvhi. Sleep, everything will be fine when you wake..." His voice cracked, then, and he hung his head, his face over hers, unable to finish the lie.
"...Buki... love you..." He heard the words, barely audible on her last breath.
Sitting up, Cocobuki stared at the horizon once again gone an angry orange. The scalding wind stole the tears from his eyes. With the only thing in the world that mattered to him in his arms, Cocobuki watched the world end.
This was drawn because of reasons.
