I was never explained how it exactly works, but apparently its some kind of technomancy stuff concerning hard-light holograms.

I think he could just make it pass through him on a whim if he so chooses.

I think its worse than Detroit since thye don't have a super cool robotic enforcement unit that may, or may not have been illegally developed by a computer and robotics corporation.
