The platonic kind.
Faust has come quite a ways from being the heartless, seemingly uncaring asshat he used to be.
He's still getting to be a better person through Bjorn, and hopefully he'll get there.
Faust had been pushing and trying to keep Nid from really being a part of their family, even going so far as to try and get someone to adopt him behind Bjorn's back, but after a lot of work, he's still got Nid. So he figured the best thing to do was just keep a grudge for it and be a brat about the whole situation; however, he's learning very quickly that he is wrapped around this little baby dragon's finger more than he would ever openly admit. And spending some time alone with Nid, he realizes, he's kind of cute and harmless when he's asleep.
