Geometry? I had the casing laying around for about a year or more, i just copied and replaced the slug with the sabot and fletchette. If i recall correctly the casing is fairly close to being 100% accurate to the actual thing.

Sorry, majoring in video game design atm, was my inner 3d modeler talking, we're always trying to save on polygons when modeling and I like your casing because it's not rounded where it doesn't need to be.

Most of its angles are at 45 degree's. I don't like having teh casing all rounded off since i can't make the round'd surfaces small enough with sketchup, so i just stick with 45degree angles to transition between one diameter to another.

Ah, cool, nice compromise.

Only time when i've put curves on a gun component was that last scope i made. I removed the 45degree angles and rounded them off on the outside and inside of the scope.

Probably the best scope i'll ever produce. Has the scope mounts/brackets/whatever for the Barret M107. Still trying to make a good enough sniper rifle to use this thing on but as of right now i don't have anything 'pretty' enough to put it on.

I think there is a real round like that but I'm not sure.

the chinese have a 7.62x51nato round that goes by SLAP that is pretty much a saboted round.

Oh, one of those
