Shattering Dreams, Chapter Two
Noburo rushed into the forest at full speed, staying on par with a small animal just happening to be passing him. Slowly, he skidded to a stop in front of a green light with a door wrapped in vines, 8 vines to be exact. The door had a message on it, that was clearly blanked out by the vines covering it. The vines made a small swirly symbol, all of them swirling to stop in the middle.
Noburo stared at the door in aw, staring at the green light emitting from the vine covered door. He kept asking himself in his head, "What is this..?" He looked around at the vines for a moment, each vine had it's own holes. The holes had different colors, and resembled keyholes.
He looked at the keyholes for a moment, the 8 vine colors were red, blue, green, yellow, sky blue, white, brown, and black. After examining the keyholes thoroughly he remembered something. Each of these keys resembled different elements of magic. Fire, Water, Nature, Electricity, Ice, Light, Earth, and Darkness.
His feet began to move past the door, deeper into the dense forest. He had to find those keys, Kuro could be in trouble. Noburo stopped in front of a cave, a green light emitting from the cave. The same light had been coming from the door, could this be a sign that the Nature Key could be in there?
Slowly, the boy walked into the cave. Footsteps came from a forked road in the cave, one way was left, the other right. The right passage seemed to have footsteps being heard from there, while the left passage had a dead end clearly visible from Noburo's sight of range. Noburo slowly walked into the left passage, stopping as soon as he saw a beast. The beast could be described as a snake with enlarged fangs.
The snake's scales clampered against the cave ground, causing the false footsteps to be heard. The snake's eyes were like a fly's eyes, because of the many panels on it's eyes. The snake, after a moment, turned it's attention to Noburo, readying it's fangs. Black liquid dripped lightly onto the ground from the end of the both of the fangs.
The snake quickly slithered at Noburo, trying to take a bite at his leg. Noburo responded to this attack quite quickly by sweeping himself into a wall, scraping his arm against the rough rock. The snake jumped at him, Noburo edging his head to the right, the snake digging and cracking it's fangs into the cave wall. Noburo drew his claws, slicing at the snake because of it's few second imobility.
The snake was sliced into pieces, all of the poison seeping from the rock. Before the snake's body pieces were covered in poison, Noburo held it to his mouth, swallowing the areas of the snake that were not seeped with the venom. The remains were the front of the snake, the tail is the only part Noburo dared to eat. Noburo ran through the cave, coming to a halt when the cave had a small drop.
Noburo closed his eyes shut nervously, wondering if he should drop down to see what was at the end of this cave. There could be more snakes in this dungeon. Suddenly, Noburo collapsed onto his knees, flashbacks going through his head. His mother was talking to him in this flashback, telling him how good he had been to her.
Noburo fell down the small drop after the flashback was over, getting up onto both of his feet. He ran deeper into the cave. The green light wasn't too far ahead now, but it seemed to be atleast one floor below. He kept up his run towards the green light.
