Actually it's a low pressure plasma so it stays crunchy even in 12 militorr

I had just gotten done watching a nova special about the sun and how they were using solar seismology to map the interior of the sun... so.. :) Imagine... a 100k years on average for a photon to get out of the sun.... huh.

oh yes. fascinating stuff. it gives you mind boggling sense of the density and temperature involved to produce a mean free path such that it takes 100,000 years going the speed of light to travel 430,000 miles.....yeah, makes me drool too. and our little star isn't even weird.

Those things are cool. I used to have one, kinda' miss it. Was neat to watch the little bolts roam around. :)

I know, soothing. though at my current altitude (7,000 ft) it only bolts around if I'm touching the glass...
