This old pocket watch was given to me by my grandmother. I believe it was owned by her father and she'd planned on getting rid of it because of how much it'd cost to get it working again.
From what research I've done, looking up the company and the various watches they've produced, I'd guess it to be between 80 and 110 years old. Its a nice heavy solid thing, but with far more detail on the inside than on the case.

Yeah these I believe were originally invented for use on trains. And on your on the ball comment the railroads were really the ones to push watchmakers to build such accurate devices. In fact I've read the chief clients of the company that made this one were railroad workers, and that they were kept in business into the 1960's because of that.
Well that's also how the way our Constitution was well influenced, because smaller states wanted to have uniformity with things. Basically the value of your money is based on how much your able to trade/produce, so a state like Rhode Island had money the equivalent to Zimbabwean money.
Basically during the Convention, there were two proposals for the government, one was the Virginia plan that had the idea "representation based on population" similar to how Representatives for the House of Representatives are elected, the New Jersey plan wanted everything equal, like how each state has two senator no matter how big or small. So they made a compromise and both got their wish in different parts of the government.

I though iid leav a commnt lol when ever i see the interer of a clock like this ( i have a 24 hour grandfather clock ) i think of my titanium mice lol mice gods made of clock parts and magic lol
