Aulus broke out of his tiny shell and became an adventurer to understand more outside of his small forest home. Fauns tend not to travel or be as outgoing since they are small, frail and tend to get picked off by harpies when they stray too far from home, but with the help of Ruby, a more than capable warrior, Aulus felt like seeing the world was possible.
Ruby is a warrior with a gentle heart, she felt a lot of compassion for little Aulus hearing him talk about seeing the world, a faun with aspirations like that was unheard of and she related quite a bit, being a Snow Leopard who left her home in the mountains many years ago.
They are good friends who have each others backs, although Ruby perhaps covers a little more than Aulus can.

This + adventurer's nap time are grand. I want to see more unique adventurers; hell, I remember the very first time I got the 'savage species' supplement for D&D. "Oh, neat! This'll let us play monsters!" I told myself - but of course, the rest of the group just wanted to play the most overpowered stuff, and wasn't interested at all in developing their characters so, playing 'monsters' ended up playing entirely like playing humans. Grab the loot, burn the villages.
Ruby just seems so laid-back and yet proud at the same time. Sort of like she knows her charge might not be quite as tough, but he's got a lot of spirit. They make an awesome pair, and I hope they have many glorious adventures. Should I see them in a tavern somewhere, I'll toast them for sure!

I love trying new things with characters and stuff, I mean being on this site alone has broadened my spectrum in tastes just a little bit :'D I've always been a dominantly human artist but I'm learning and really enjoying playing outside of my comfort zone.
I'm slowly learning about anthros, It's quite interesting, some people come up with some amazing designs I'm quite in awe of them cB
Heee yes she'd be proud, but not so proud that she would need to be top cat, I think she'd want Aulus to experience the world without too much coddling from her, maybe let him experience a little of the danger because being an adventurer and not getting into trouble wouldn't make for good stories around the campfire~
