A nightgaunt serves as the Chariot of the Dreamlands, although being a slightly cryptic incarnation of the archetype. In "The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath" by HP Lovecraft, the nightgaunts served as a form of transportation on more than one occassion, and also were the key to victory in the struggle between the ghouls and the moonbeasts. Nightgaunts appear a few more times throughout this Major Arcana.
