I wear a blue bone tag like that too, mine has just my name on it. I always wear my collar too.
I even had a run-in over the practice, but people have to accept me for what I am, a Dog!
It would be interesting to know more about the Dog who Ed was based off of, I like those kinds
of stories, do you have an article about him and how Ed came about?

oops, i thought i left a reply on this days ago.
Ed is based on a dog I used to have, several years after losing her, i just thought it up one day. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4174036/
and the name comes from the old nickelodeon show 100 deeds for Eddie McDowd. wanted to get a dog and name it eddie since then, but it never happened because all my dogs have been female, so I just named my character after it.

Oh wow, I've watched the entire series of 100 Deeds! I never saw the originals, but got the copies on torrent download
and watched one a night, and at other times I put them on. My favorite episode is probably Ruby, where finally he
meets another of his kind. For what it is, I think it has some cool things to say about the condition of finding yourself
as a Dog.
I'm also into Woof!, and also Eddie McDowd's sister show in a way, Dog With A Blog, a talking family Dog, but no one is
stuck inside, unless we find that out later, that it's Stan's REAL secret.. :)
Maybe you will one day have a Border, and can name him Ed.
