Basically Katie and Andrew eventually find the missing part of her pendant and she changes back into her human form. Not long after that the police catch up with them and both of them get arrested and brought to the local police station. While they're taken in, the first thing Katie notices is that her dad is there. Before the two can reunite after so many years, Zander shows up and ruins everything by deliberately separating her pendant while she is currently distracted, and throws it out of the window, cruelly forcing her to change back into her leopard form in front of everyone to show them the monster he truly thinks she is.
